First, I want to share my gratitude for the enthusiasm and engagement that I experienced at the “Startup Societies, Network States…” meetup in Austin, Texas a few weeks ago (Feb 20) at Sapien Center. We have spent a couple years chipping away at Loci in relative isolation, but since late last year the space has opened up dramatically and it really has been inspirational to connect with all of you and so many other hard working builders who are out here making strides in exciting directions. Our panel speakers at this event brought optimism and clarity to the conversation, and we had an incredibly rich and diverse audience who all came together to explore real world solutions for more sustainable and regenerative human frameworks. It was a pleasure to welcome those who I have known and admired, as well as new opportunities to connect with others as we strengthen the synapses and sinew of our networks.
THANK YOU LOCI TEAM!
I would like to take a minute to thank the incredible Chrystal Busick, our Service Design advisor and a founding member of the Loci Community, for going above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience for all our attendees. From the generously hand-made sandwiches and snacks, to making sure our guests’ experience was warm and welcoming all the way from setup through tear-down, Chrystal’s impact offers a strong demonstration of the quality of experience we foster in the Loci community.
I also want to say thanks so much to another long-time supporter of Loci development, our Acquisitions advisor Allison Powers. In addition to supporting our land sourcing and acquisition efforts, Allison offers video production, event photo booths (WoodyBooth.com), and other media services. She and Kasey Irwin graciously captured video of our event and are working on producing a full recap video to be shared with members.
Hosting these events promotes the entire movement. If you experience value in what we are doing, please consider a one-time contribution:

Austin Meetup Recap Video is in the works!
Allison has put together a great teaser clip to share as we wait for the full meetup recap video to go through post-production editing.
You may view this clip on our YouTube channel, but the full video will be available for members and subscribers only.

Following this (our third and most successful) meetup in Austin, I traveled to Denver to speak on a panel at the Building Network States event on March 1, hosted by build_cities during the Denver Ethereum Conference. This was another exciting demonstration of the interest that is growing in these areas and validated our efforts to promote awareness of the movement and collaboration among projects and resources.
In response to the growing excitement we have encountered in our outreach efforts over recent months, we are now embarking on a campaign of meetups across the US through 2024.
